About

IMG_0886Born in Hungary, Judith lived in Italy, Brazil, US and Canada. Throughout her travels, she picked up a considerable baggage of artistic expressions, working with different media such as ceramics, glass, silkscreen, photography, acrylic and collage.

Judith holds a bachelor degree in Fine Arts (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa, but her curious nature didn’t stop there, and she is always enlarging her horizons by taking courses and attending workshops.

She discovered collage when taking a course on the subject at the Boca Museum Art School. It was love at first sight as if that form of expression was what she was searching for all along. After several years of hard work, she made this art form her very own, creating her unique technique and style, which gave her the confidence to pursue her artistic career.

Nature is the inspiration to create her artwork. Years ago she started taking photos of elements in nature, be it trees, rocks, soil, everything with an interesting texture and colour. These photos are then transferred to paper and with the shreds of paper she creates her collages, assembling the pieces on a canvas, as if each shred were a brushstroke, creating a composition that is harmonious and intriguing, sometimes peaceful and sometimes stormy.

Judith exhibits extensively and has received many awards for her artwork. Among those, the prestigious Jonathan Talbot Award for Excellence in Collage from the National Collage Society in Denver, First Place Award from the Artists Guild of the Boca Museum Art School in Boca Raton, First Award of Excellence in Mixed Media from the Nepean Fine Arts League in Ottawa, Best in Show at the Broward Art Guild in Fort Lauderdale, not mentioning numerous Honorable Mentions and People’s Choices.

Her work adorns many homes and offices in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Middle East.
